London | First Europe slapped tariffs on cheap Chinese EVs to protect local manufacturers. Now it’s fast fashion and cut-price consumer goods from China in the sights of continental lawmakers.

Chinese e-commerce giants Shein, Temu and AliExpress have already been looking a bit shop-soiled in recent weeks, after regulators accused them of selling child-like sex dolls and other illicit items through their websites.
