Coup, what coup? Wagner boss Prigozhin says it was only a protest
Copenhagen | Wagner Group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin has denied he was planning a mutiny or coup against Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he was merely protesting against Russia’s conduct of the war in Ukraine and its deadly impact on his mercenary forces.
“We were marching to demonstrate our protest, not to unseat the government,” Mr Prigozhin said in an 11-minute audio post to his Telegram social media account.
