Moscow/Washington | President Vladimir Putin declined Donald Trump’s bid for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, agreeing instead to limit attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure while demanding that the US and other nations stop the flow of weapons and intelligence to the neighbour his military invaded.
Hours later, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country was under attack by Russian drones, and energy infrastructure was hit in Slovyansk, a city of 100,000 people in the Donetsk region, according to local reports, leaving parts of the city without electricity.
