France rolls the dice with early exit from COVID-19 restrictions
London | France has dropped almost all its remaining coronavirus restrictions, despite having only a third of its citizens fully vaccinated and amid warnings that a delta-fuelled “fourth wave” could arrive during the northern summer.
The country on Wednesday restored its bars, cafes, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, museums, sports facilities and churches to full capacity, leaving only nightclubs closed and concerts operating at 75 per cent capacity.
