London | European leaders have failed to agree on a way forward on Ukraine, leaving them stuck on the sidelines after President Donald Trump shouldered the Continent out of imminent American negotiations with Russia on ending the war.
The leaders’ dash to Paris for three hours of crisis talks on Monday (Tuesday AEDT) came as Trump’s top security and foreign-policy team were set to begin negotiations in the Saudi capital Riyadh with their Kremlin counterparts. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is also shuttling around the Middle East.
