Brisbane Olympics boss: Stop making 2032 Games a ‘political football’

Paris | Brisbane 2032 president Andrew Liveris has shrugged off concerns about political disputes over Olympic venues, claiming planning for the event was ahead of schedule and declaring himself the sole spokesman for the tournament.

Mr Liveris, who was the chief executive and chairman of Dow Chemicals until 2018, also declared that Brisbane was “not a hillbilly town”, he had asked politicians to stop using the event as “political football”, and left open the possibility of cricket being added to the 2032 Games.
