Warnings as North Korea missile flies over Japan

Tokyo | North Korea has fired a ballistic missile over Japan for the first time in five years, prompting a rare warning by Tokyo for some residents to seek shelter as tensions in the region continue to escalate.
Prime Minister Fumio Kishida condemned the launch of the missile, which flew over northern Japan shortly after 7.30am (9.30am AEST) on Tuesday before landing in the Pacific Ocean without causing any damage.
