PUP's Dio Wang condemned over Tiananmen comments

Palmer United Party Senator Dio Wang has been condemned by the Labor Opposition and human rights groups over his endorsement of the June 4, 1989 Chinese Tiananmen Square massacre.
The Chinese military fired live ammunition into thousands of student protesters in central Beijing causing hundreds of casualties, triggering global condemnation at the time.
