Hong Kong police clamp down on Tiananmen anniversary

Hong Kong was preparing to deploy thousands of anti-riot police around the city on Friday after activists urged people to defy a ban on public gatherings marking the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre.
Chow Hang Tung, the prominent organiser of an annual candlelight vigil traditionally held in Hong Kong for victims of the June 4 uprising 32 years ago, was arrested on Friday morning, according to local media.
