Kuala Lumpur | On Saturday, the day of Malaysia’s 15th general election, taxi-driver Mohamad had called ahead to tell his adult son to get in the queue. Mohamad – who declined to give his surname - didn’t want to waste any time at the polling station but he was still excited about the possible outcome. He voted for Pakatan Harapan (PH), the coalition led by 75-year-old, Anwar Ibrahim that has pulled ahead in the polls.
“Anwar should have his five years. It’s time he showed us what he can do,” said Mohamad, one of the many to vote early.
