Foxconn throws curveball in Nissan-Honda merger talks
Tokyo | The iPhone maker, Foxconn, is in talks with Nissan’s biggest shareholder, Renault, about its willingness to sell its shares in the Japanese car maker, Taiwan’s Central News Agency said, citing people it did not identify.
Nissan and fellow Japanese car maker, Honda, have been exploring a merger, people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday, that would create a rival to Toyota in Japan and better position the combined company to face competitive challenges around the world.
