Tokyo/Sydney | China’s first commercial plane crash in 12 years has shocked the country and baffled aviation experts unable to explain horrifying scenes of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft in a sharp nosedive before crashing into a remote mountain range in the country’s south.

Rescue teams and police were on Tuesday combing heavily forested slopes where the China Eastern flight carrying 132 people crashed and exploded in flames after plunging from the sky on Monday afternoon (AEST).
