Beijing attacks PM's handling of virus, bushfires
Shanghai | Beijing has ramped up its criticism of the Morrison government's push for a coronavirus inquiry by accusing the prime minister of trying to blame China to deflect domestic criticism of his handling of the outbreak and the summer bushfires.
The Communist Party's mouthpiece, the People's Daily, published a comment piece on Tuesday accusing Australian politicians of pandering to the United States and said the push for a global investigation would fail.
