Beijing/Canberra | China has accused Australia of “systemic racism and hate crimes” after an Australian diplomat raised Beijing’s human rights record against minority Uyghurs at the United Nations this week.

China’s foreign ministry savaged Australia’s public criticism of China, underscoring the difficulty of the two nations’ relationship during their “stabilisation” period, after Beijing dropped the last of its trade sanctions against Australia.
