After getting just $20 a day for 11 years of work at his brother’s takeaway food shop, Tony El-Bayeh thought he was entitled to something from his estate, especially as he had been promised a house.

Youseff El-Bayeh had acted in almost every way as a father to him and his 10 surviving siblings since the family moved to Sydney from Lebanon in the 1960s.
