For Michael Heine, the 72-year-old billionaire behind one of the nation’s fastest growing wealth management companies, there’s little point starting a company if you’re not prepared to risk it all.

“I come across many people that have wonderful ideas, but they aren’t prepared to back it to the hilt,” he tells The Australian Financial Review’s podcast How I Made It. If you’re starting out, be prepared to risk your house, he says.
