When Fleet Space Technologies co-founder Flavia Tata Nardini moved to Adelaide in her late 20s, she gave up a dream job working as a rocket scientist.

As a little girl, she had always dreamed of going to space, but she made the move for love, assuming she would be able to find work in the space industry in Australia. She had heard South Australia had a thriving defence industry and to her, it seemed like an engineering hub.
