ASIC eyes Stanmore disclosures amid takeover stoush
The corporate regulator is examining why Stanmore Resources, a coal-mining company controlled by one of Indonesia’s richest families, provided its major shareholder with information that isn’t available to other investors.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission said Stanmore was under review after the company disclosed on Monday that it had given unspecified information to Golden Energy and Resources, the Singapore-based group company that owns 64 per cent of the Brisbane-based miner.
