Australia needs an extra 5000 cybersecurity workers each year to avoid a massive shortfall by 2030, as professionals warn the local industry is lagging behind those in other countries.
Despite billions of dollars being poured into cybersecurity by governments and business, a new report by government-funded industry body AustCyber highlights significant challenges in Australia’s response to the cyber threat.
