Creators who make frank content about sex and women’s health are the target market for Aussie-founded Sunroom, a new social media platform that sits between OnlyFans and Instagram and is armed with $3.6 million in freshly raised capital.

Sunroom plans to direct the capital into building out its micropayments platform and video broadcasting tool and training content moderators. It is backed by Blackbird’s Australasian fund, angel investors Li Jin and Sarah Downey, women’s health app Peanut co-founder Michelle Kennedy, and Trevor McFedries who co-founded media start-up Brud.
