Matt Leibowitz, co-founder of online broker Stake, has resigned as chief executive following a seven-year tenure of the venture-backed start-up that rode the “Millennial investing” wave and oversaw the platform’s growth to almost $3 billion of assets under management.

Financial services executive Jon Howie will replace Mr Leibowitz. Mr Howie joined Stake as chief commercial officer last year and has built a career leading BlackRock’s APAC arm, as well as at Macquarie Bank and investors GI Partners.
