SMS shareholders vote for ASG takeover

SMS Management and Technology shareholders have almost unanimously voted in favour of the proposed $124 million acquisition from Japan's Nomura Research Institute-owned ASG Group.

ASG co-founder and chief executive Geoffrey Lewis told AFR Weekend the combined entity would become a "tier one player", which would rival companies like IBM in competing for major deals.
