One of Australia's most hyped and best funded start-ups has suffered a setback.

Shoes of Prey, the online retailer considered a pioneer in customised fashion, is closing down the physical design studios it had built in David Jones' flagship Sydney store and outlets of US department store giant Nordstrom, The Australian Financial Review has learned.
