Booming sales of internet telephone equipment could deliver a new phase of growth for Integrated Research under a plan by the software company's new chief executive to strike deals with global networking companies.

Keith Andrews, appointed on Friday to lead the listed Sydney company, signalled his intention to expand the company's reach in the communications sector to build on its base in core computing software.
