'I represent it all': In conversation with Microsoft's Satya Nadella
This is an edited transcript of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in conversation with The Australian Financial Review's Chanticleer columnist Tony Boyd.
Chanticleer: I thought I would start with your growing up in India in Hyderabad. You were a very good cricketer, or spin bowler actually, for those in the room who love cricket. Can you talk about how someone who was studying electrical engineering decided to uproot yourself and go to the United States. What was behind that?
Satya Nadella: Thank you so much, it's great to be back in Australia and be in Sydney. Growing up in the late '70s, in the '80s, in Hyderabad in India at that time, it was off the grid in some sense – today it's a different city.
