Fifteen-year-olds will be able to freeze their Snapchat accounts until they are legally allowed to access them, while parents will be able to dob in their kids for using TikTok once Australia’s social media age ban comes into force.
With just over 40 days until Australia’s world-first age restrictions come into effect, executives from Meta, TikTok and Snap during a Senate hearing on Tuesday outlined high-level steps they are taking to comply with the law.
