Online marketplace Freelancer has broken even for the June half, with founder and chief executive Matt Barrie telling investors artificial intelligence is poised to transform the way millions of unskilled workers operate.
The former ASX tech darling is undergoing a strategic shift to try to better leverage its freight marketplace and escrow businesses, though the bulk of its revenue is still derived from the Freelancer jobs and services platform.
