Distributor hurt as revenue tumbles

CVC-backed computer and communications distributor Cellnet swung to a $4.6 million net loss on revenue that tumbled almost 17 per cent to $439.5 million in a 2008 result that chairman Alexander Beard described as "clearly unsatisfactory".
But Mr Beard also pointed to restructuring efforts that had eliminated debt as a sign of progress as the company battled falling information and telecommunications product margins and prices.
