Canva touts revenue leap, new AI tools after Leonardo buy

Design software-maker Canva boosted its paying subscribers by 38 per cent over the past year, and will launch new artificial intelligence features after its $US250 million ($374 million) acquisition of Sydney start-up Leonardo.AI was waved through by the competition regulator.

The company’s co-founder and chief product officer Cameron Adams told The Australian Financial Review its highly anticipated public listing was not “top of its agenda”, but released another unscheduled financial update, bucking the trend of private technology company secrecy.
