Cannon-Brookes-backed Spaceship acquired in $80m deal
The Mike Cannon-Brookes-backed superannuation fintech Spaceship has found a buyer after 18 months of unsuccessful talks with potential suitors, as well as several run-ins with the corporate watchdog, signing an all-scrip deal with stockbroking platform eToro.
The move gives eToro entry to the lucrative superannuation sector as companies hunt access to the rivers of gold provided by Australia’s mandatory super contribution scheme.
