Animoca, Ripple back crypto custodian at $418m value
Hex Trust, a Hong Kong start-up offering custody services for crypto assets, has had its valuation rise tenfold in a year to $US300 million ($418 million) with a financing round led by Animoca Brands and Liberty City Ventures.
Hong Kong-based crypto gaming group Animoca Brands was booted off the ASX as a $120 million company in March 2020 after failing to lodge accounts and swapping its stock for crypto tokens, only to surge in value to $US2.2 billion ($3.1 billion) at its last funding round in October.
