Offshore investors eager to snap up Australian mining assets may take a closer look at junior copper miner Rex Minerals after it announced plans yesterday to expand its Hillside copper project in South Australia.

The company estimates that Hillside will cost $900 million to develop, or 4½ times its market capitalisation.
