New York’s Stonepeak test drives $4b-plus bus operator Kinetic’s ANZ biz

The $4b billion-plus sale of bus operator Kinetic is re-routing once again, more than a year after owners OPTrust and Foresight Group brought in Macquarie Capital to steer an exit.

Street Talk understands Kinetic is in negotiations with a handful of suitors for 100 per cent of the business; at the same time it is entertaining suitors for the Australian and New Zealand units. However, neither is being run as a formal auction.
