MST poaches Shaws co-heads to set up hybrids business

Gerard Satur’s MST Financial has poached Shaw and Partners’ co-heads of income strategies, Cameron Duncan and Steve Anagnos, to spearhead a new business unit.

Street Talk understands Duncan and Anagnos, who have built Shaws’ hybrids and SMAs business together over the past decade, lobbed their resignations last week. The pair has signed up to help MST set up a division specialising in hybrids and structured investments solutions, targeted at its wealth management client base.

Sarah Thompson has co-edited Street Talk since 2009, specialising in private equity, investment banking, M&A and equity capital markets stories. Prior to that, she spent 10 years in London as a markets and M&A reporter at Bloomberg and Dow Jones.

Kanika Sood is a journalist based in Sydney who writes for the Street Talk column.

Emma Rapaport is a co-editor of the Street Talk column. Prior to that, she was a markets reporter at The Australian Financial Review.
