Minerals exploration may have bottomed, UBS says

Junior and mid-tier miners raised $US336 million in January, which was more than 42 per cent higher in dollar terms than the previous month, UBS says.

Junior and mid-tier miners raised $US336 million ($430.1 million) in January, which was more than 42 per cent higher in dollar terms compared with the previous month, according to UBS.

Analyst Sam Theodore said the value of the raisings was more than 164 per cent higher than the same month last year.
