Stirling Resources managing director Michael Kiernan will step down immediately, after coming to an agreement with the company’s major shareholder, DCM DECOmetal.

The Perth mining identity and former trucking boss’s departure follows a botched attempt to bring Swan Gold Mining , a company in which Stirling owns 29 per cent, into production.
