Japan's Sumitomo taps Lazard to review Emerald Grain

Graincorp's bold plan in February to back a restructure and float of CBH Group has stalled after it was rejected by the nation's largest grains exporter. But now there may be another grain deal to take its place.
Street Talk can reveal that Lazard Australia is working on a strategic review for Australia's fifth-biggest grain group Emerald Grain, as parent company Sumitomo Corporation considers its place in the fiercely competitive grain sector.
