Canadian private capital giant Brookfield has dealt promotions to three of its most senior employees in Australia, as part of a broader push to beef up its presence in the region, Street Talk can reveal.

Sophie Fallman has been named head of Brookfield’s global client group for APAC. The new title is expected to put her front-and-centre of the firm’s efforts to raise funds across the region, sources said. She’ll also be tasked with deepening relationships with Brookfield’s private institutional investors which have ploughed more than $US60 billion ($89.5 billion) into its strategies.
