AusNet and suitor Brookfield wait on State Grid vote

It’s popcorn time at AusNet Services, with the company’s $18.2 billion deal to come to a head this week.

While AusNet’s biggest securityholder Singapore Power and its rank and file institutional and retail investors are expected to vote in favour of Brookfield and friends’ $2.65 a security bid, all eyes are on wildcard investor State Grid Corporation of China.
