ANZ Banking Group is expected to make an announcement on the sale of its Esanda Dealer Finance unit by Thursday, sources said on Sunday.
Macquarie Group is in pole position with sources suggesting it has been made preferred bidder. However, it's understood China's HNA Group was still gunning hard for the asset as of Friday and a formal decision had not yet been made.
