Molopo Energy makes a juicy target. With $65 million in the bank on a market cap of just $35 million, it's attracted two takeover offers from two very different types of investor.

Geoff Wilson's Wilson Asset Management lobbed in an all-cash bid earlier this month. Far less straightforward is the earlier, mixed bid by Aurora Funds Management, which suggested in its statements that long-suffering Molopo shareholders might be relieved for some liquidity in their investment, which has been in a trading halt since July.
