Scott Morrison’s rugby league delusion
Joe AstonColumnistHot on the heels of former treasurer Josh Frydenberg’s cringeworthy bid to run the Australian Football League, his former idol Scott Morrison has privately expressed his desire to be installed on the Australian Rugby League Commission.
Morrison denied reports of his approach half-heartedly, describing it as “just a bit of pub talk”. Alas, Nine commentator Danny Weidler confirmed that the former PM recently raised the issue with NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo.
