Sayers Group the latest beneficiary in Newington co-ed tussle

There may still be a vocal minority manning the metaphorical barricades outside Sydney’s Newington College as they protest the private boys school going co-ed. But their air of desperation is getting stronger by the day.

The sandstone school has clocked another win in its push to admit girls from 2026, with the NSW Supreme Court granting it the right to defend a case brought by a student trying to block the move.
