VGI Partners chief investment officer Rob Luciano gave shareholders a window into his unvarnished wisdom at Thursday’s telecast investor update, where he crowned Elon Musk as “arguably one of the most capable business leaders in the world”.

It’s too bad the same isn’t being said about Luciano, given Regal Funds Management’s Phil King removed the man as portfolio manager of the VGI Asian investment fund in June (only to be replaced by King himself).
