PwC bans its client TikTok when it should worry about itself
Max MasonSenior courts and crime reporterPricewaterhouseCoopers didn’t seem to have a problem using its privileged position to leak sensitive government tax policy for its own advantage, but it certainly didn’t want anyone else to have that leg-up, not least beleaguered viral video app TikTok.
We’ve been highly critical of TikTok, and with good reason. The national security concerns around the application are real – there’s a reason every Five Eyes intelligence partner nation has banned the app on government devices. But the hypocrisy and conflict of these Masters of PowerPoint beggars belief.
