Other bad advice from Bell Potter's Jamie Gordon
Joe AstonColumnistWe return to the once-great Sydney wealth house, Bell Potter, now showing every single day of the 49 analogue years since Colin Bell founded it, and the 30 since managing director Alastair Provan first punched in.
In the days of car phones, suspenders, afternoon newspapers and tax-deductible lunches at the Regent, these guys were bona fide royalty of the fledgling wealth market. It beggars belief that today, in their names, their clients are being served up the most contemptible dross by the likes of institutional desk head Jamie Gordon. This is not hyperbole; on the street, serious people cannot believe their eyes.
