Nick Bolton recruits Antony Catalano to Keybridge register
Myriam RobinRear Window editorGreenmailer Nick Bolton — whose ASIC ban from company directorships lapsed in late 2018 though is, go figure, still under appeal — wouldn't at the age of 26 have profitably held Macquarie Group to ransom without a repertoire of tricks. He's dreamed up countless ways to frustrate long-time nemesis Geoff Wilson's takeover of Keybridge Capital, which Bolton still controls (just). Even still, we never expected him to recruit Antony Catalano to his cause.
Keybridge has been suspended from ASX trading since July, with its auditors unwilling to sign off on its $5 million investment in an unnamed media company (unidentifiable acquisitions by listed entities being relatively uncommon). This media investment, we've previously suggested, involves Australian Community Media executive chairman Catalano, alongside whom Bolton had a year earlier tried to derail Nine's purchase of our then-publisher Fairfax.
