To Anthony Albanese, it’s the one that got away.

Queensland-founded Tritium, a maker of fast-chargers for electric vehicles, collapsed this year. Albanese has repeatedly lamented its decision to close its local factory and transfer all operations to Tennessee last year, which he characterised as a totemic failure for the manufacturing sector. Albanese twice visited Tritium’s Brisbane HQ before it closed.
