John Brogden‘s Profiles in Hope – which aims to do for suicide prevention what John F. Kennedy’s Profiles in Courage did for America’s post-World War II confidence – was released to a smattering of supportive media on Tuesday.

From commercial television to the broadsheets, few would turn down the opportunity to interview figures like James Packer or Ian Thorpe as they candidly discussed their mental health. And shepherding it all was the former NSW Liberal leader, who’s made a point of using his public struggles to help others.
