In a development that would normally prompt all sorts of chatter on its forums, Ernst & Young has resigned as the auditor of sharemarket forum HotCopper, shortly before the release of its full-year accounts.

The ASX-listed company, now known as The Market Herald, offered no explanation for the decision effective July 30, other than to say its new auditors will be RSM Australia going forward.
